There is Terror of Human Rights in Syria
During the civil war in Syria, it was reported by the United Nations that numerous and serious human rights violations happened. The war was reported by the United Nations as that kind of war devoid of compliance to the norms set by the international law, leading to sufferings of civilians that cannot be measured as a result of warring parties.
Human rights violations were said to be committed by both the rebels and the government, which according to the human rights organizations and the United Nations, were widely committed by the government of Syria.
Aside from the conduct of torture and extrajudicial killings, the Assad regime was blamed of using chlorine gas as chemical weapons against the civilians. Other accusations of Assad was about aerial bombardment and shelling which according to reports were indiscriminate and disproportionate that spread terror and led to casualties of civilians that were mass in number. There were reports also of war crimes committed by the Free Syrian Army and rebel groups, such as the recruitment of children to become soldiers, populated civilian areas that were shelled, members of religious minorities being murdered or taken hostages, and poisonous gas being used.
The bloody conflict of Syria is now on its 3rd year, with painful images of civilians attacked by bombs from the air, different abuses, physical assaults and rape on women, and other atrocities that are beyond words and imaginations that led people to write about what is happening in Syria.
News about the conditions in Syria are considered disheartening, with houses, schools, water systems and so on being reduced to rubble, and with 80,000 Syrians dead among which were thousands of children.
You may not have the chance to look within a Lebanon refugee camp, and so imagine a daunting sight of children’s eyes staring at you with despair, surroundings covered with snow and people living inside boxes and covering themselves with what small pieces of things they can get hold of.
In just matters of seconds, homes, lives, careers and everything were lost from women who would tell you of their experiences. Women will tell you how they are traumatized by rape, their lost sons, husbands and brothers because of the war. Now, these women would long for nothing else than peace, never minding about their important careers and will not anymore wish for a happy and peaceful life.
Syria and Iran considered themselves as strategic allies and this is a fact that explained how supportive is and why there is presence of Iran in Syria in many ways. Iran has aided the Syrian government during the Syrian civil war since 2011, through the Iranian revolutionary guard, by increasing the level of technical and personnel support so that Syria will have the “ability to deal with protesters”, plus sending equipment to control riots, and giving techniques to monitor intelligence.
